CLAWFINGER DISCOGRAPHY++++++++++MAIN10+++++++++

CLAWFINGER DISCOGRAPHY

++++++++++MAIN10+++++++++

Clawfinger is an industrial rap-metal band from Sweden and was one of the earliest bands to adopt this sound. Clawfinger is known for aggressive but melodic music and tackling political and anti-racist themes in their songs.
The band's origin dates back to the summer of 1989 when Zak Tell and Jocke Skog met while working together at the Rosegrove Hospital somewhere in the vicinity of Stockholm. In 1990 they were joined by the Norwegian guitarists Bård Torstensen and Erlend Ottem that was also working at the same hospital. Soon the four realized their similar interests in music. Bård and Erlend previously played in a band called Theo in their hometown Arendal back in Norway. Their free time was invested in exploring the musical world, composing and writing songs while evolving into a band.
Their original demo comprising of three tracks (Waste of Time, Nigger and Profit Preacher) quickly secured them local radio airplay and consequently brought them to the attention of the MVG label. Nigger is an elaborate and profound anti-racism statement that caused quite a stir and was a massive success; it was also released as a single. By the beginning of the 1990s, Clawfinger self-released their debut Deaf Dumb Blind. This sold in over 600,000 copies worldwide and was critically acclaimed in Swedish press. With the addition of André Skaug and drummer Morten Skaug, Clawfinger went on tour and played at countless European festivals including major support slots with Anthrax and Alice in Chains.
The band received many awards among which two home Grammies at the Swedish Grammy Awards in 1994 for Best Hard Rock Band and Best Video. After touring, they went straight back in the studio to record their second album, Use Your Brain. After the release of this album they went on yet another touring campaign, most notably participating at Ozzy Osbourne's Monsters of Rock Festival in South America and rocking alongside American metal counterparts like Megadeth, Faith No More, and Alice Cooper. Back in Europe they continued their touring campaign by participating at festivals and countless gigs.
Clawfinger resurfaced with their self-titled third album after two years, in 1997. They also issued three singles (Biggest & the Best, Don't Wake Me Up and Two Sides). Then, following a four year wait, Clawfinger released their fourth album, A Whole Lot of Nothing. This was the most complex instrumental offering of the band yet and it featured a more elaborate and noticeable synthesizer sound that created a new dimension in their musical content.

In 2003 it was time for Zeros & Heroes to see the light of day, an album with a harsher tone and more aggressive instrumental tone, with less electronic elements and also showcasing a very controversial lyrical content on some of the tracks. The month of October of the same year saw guitarist Erlend Ottem leave both the band and the music industry in pursuit of a career as a software specialist. The band and Erlend parted ways on friendly terms.

The same year, they surprised their fans by producing for a boyband, taking their old song The Truth, re-writing and re-arranging it into In Da House, a hit single for the Norwegian band L8R.
In 2005 the band released Hate Yourself With Style, their most aggressive album to date. According to keyboard player Jocke Skog it was something we needed to do to get a restart after Erlend left. The album was written, produced, and mixed by Clawfinger in Fear And Loathing Studios, Spånga Sweden. The studio they own together with another Swedish band, Meshuggah.
In more than a decade of activity, Clawfinger have issued already more than 10 singles and 6 albums, five of which has at least 2 bonus tracks in the limited edition. They have currently finished work on their seventh album, Life Will Kill You, due for release on July 27, 2007.
Clawfinger are well known for their personal relationship with their fans. Zak Tell often answers questions from the fans on the official website forums, and each week there is a live IRC chat session where fans can chat with band members.

RAMMSTEIN DISCOGRAPHY+++++++++++MAIN10+++++++++++

RAMMSTEIN DISCOGRAPHY

+++++++++++MAIN10+++++++++++

Rammstein is a German NDH-Metal band. The band is also widely accepted as part of the Neue Deutsche Härte-scene, alongside bands such as Oomph! and Die Krupps. Critics have also dubbed their sound as Tanz-Metall (lit. "Dance metal").[1][2][3] Their songs are performed almost exclusively in German. Formed in 1994, they have sold over 12 million records worldwide.[4] Rammstein's entire catalogue is published by Universal Music Group.
Although most songs are written in German, the band has had significant success outside German-speaking nations, in Europe as well as in the rest of the Western world and also in Asia. It has been confirmed that the band has reunited from their vacation and has begun writing their sixth studio album, which will be released sometime in 2008.

Riedel, Schneider and Kruspe originally founded Rammstein, following an attempt by Kruspe to compose American-influenced music with a West Berlin band called Orgasm Death Gimmicks. As Kruspe put it, "I realized it's really important to make music and make it fit with your language, which I didn't do in the past. I came back [to Germany] and said, 'It's time to make music that's really authentic.' I was starting a project called Rammstein to really try to make German music." He invited Till Lindemann, a former Olympic swimmer and drummer for the band First Arsch, to join the project as a vocalist. The four entered a contest for new bands and won, attracting the interest of Paul H. Landers, who knew them all and decided to join the band. Christian "Flake" Lorenz was the last member to join; he had played with Landers before in the band Feeling B and was initially reluctant to come on board, but was eventually persuaded to join. Their first album was released a year later.

Rammstein was started by Richard Z. Kruspe in 1994. In 1989 he escaped from East Germany over the border between Austria and Hungary where he eventually ended up in West Berlin and started a band in 1991 (Orgasm Death Gimmicks). At that time he was very influenced by American music and after the wall came down, he moved back home to Schwerin where Till Lindemann worked as a basket weaver and played drums in the band First Arsch.
At this time, Richard lived with Oliver Riedel (of the band The Inchtabokatables) and Christoph "Doom" Schneider (of Die Firma). Richard realized that the music he had previously made was not right for him. He envisioned something with machines and hard guitars together. The three started working together on a new project.
Richard soon found it hard to write music and lyrics at the same time. He got Till to join them as he had often heard him singing while working. A contest for new bands was announced and the prize was studio time. The four of them recorded the first Rammstein demo and won. Paul Landers knew them all and wanted to know what they were doing. After listening, he agreed to join. At this point, all they needed for the machine-sound was a keyboarder. They tried to get Christian "Flake" Lorenz to join, as he had played with Paul before in the band Feeling B. Flake was not entirely thrilled with the idea at first and had to be pestered for weeks before finally joining. About the time the band was formed, they all had relationship problems which provided the foundation for their debut album Herzeleid in 1995.
Rammstein's second album, Sehnsucht, was released on 22 August 1997. The cover art was created by famous Austrian artist Gottfried Helnwein [1]. It sold very well, and today it is the only album entirely in German to be certified Platinum by the RIAA in the United States. The next year Rammstein went on tour, with the live album Live aus Berlin being released in 1998.

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE DISCOGRAPHY+++++++MAIN10++++++++

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE DISCOGRAPHY

+++++++MAIN10++++++++

The sound of Killswitch Engage is characterized by a mix of powerful riffing, double bass beats, and dynamic vocals. The lyrics, while usually sung quite brutally, are actually very optimistic. Other notable features of their sound include the use of complex single-note articulations, power chord riffs, twin-guitar harmonies and techniques such as pinch harmonics. In the band's DVD (see below), a member of Underoath describes the guitar squeals as "a pig getting hit in the side with a crossbow"

Following the demise of his old band Overcast in 1998, bassist Mike D'Antonio explored the underground heavy metal scenes in search of members for a new band. In 1999, D'Antonio met Tim Lovett and Joel Stroetzel, guitarists for Aftershock. Dutkiewicz took the role of playing drums, while Lovett remained on guitar. The trio searched for a vocalist and eventually hired Jesse Leach, formerly of Corrin and Nothing Stays Gold. The now four-member band took the name of "Killswitch Engage," a name proposed by D'Antonio after watching an episode of the FOX program The X-Files entitled "Kill Switch". The episode's writer, William Gibson, came up with the title after a chance meeting with the industrial band Kill Switch...Klick; the bands are otherwise unrelated.

MARILYN MANSON DISCOGRAPHY++++++MAIN10+++++

MARILYN MANSON DISCOGRAPHY
++++++MAIN10+++++

Brian Hugh Warner (born January 5, 1969), better known by his stage name Marilyn Manson, is an American musician and artist known for his outrageous stage persona and image as the lead singer of the eponymous band. His stage name was formed from the names Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson, showing what he considered the ultimate and most disturbing dualism of American culture.
Manson was born in Canton, Ohio to Barb Wyer and Hugh Warner. His father was a Catholic and his mother Episcopalian. Manson was raised in his mother's religion,[2] attending Heritage Christian School, though he later transferred out, graduating from GlenOak High School in 1987 . In 1990, Warner was a college student attending Broward Community College working toward a journalism degree, and gaining experience in the field by writing music articles for a South Florida lifestyle magazine, 25th Parallel when he was able to meet several of the musicians to whom his own band would later be compared, including My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails.
Before forming Marilyn Manson, he was involved with Twiggy Ramirez in two projects: Satan on Fire, a fake Christian death metal band where he played bass, and Mrs. Scabtree, where he played drums. He formed Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids in Florida in 1989 (the name was shortened to Marilyn Manson in 1992). In the summer of 1993, the band drew the attention of Trent Reznor. Reznor produced their 1994 debut album, Portrait of an American Family and released it on his Nothing label. The band began to develop a cult following, which grew larger with the release of Smells Like Children in 1995. That EP yielded the band's first big MTV hit with "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", a cover of the 1983 Eurythmics hit. Antichrist Superstar (also produced by Reznor) was an even greater success.[3] Three of the band's albums have been awarded platinum certification and three more have been awarded gold, and the band has seen three of its releases debut in the top ten, including two number-one albums. Manson's first work as a producer was with the band Jack Off Jill. Not only did he help name the band and produce most of the band's early recordings but also played guitar on the song "My Cat" and had the band open most of his South Florida shows.[4] Manson later wrote the liner notes to the band's album Humid Teenage Mediocrity, a collection of early JOJ recordings.
Manson has appeared as a guest performer with several artists including rapper DMX's album Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood[5] and on Godhead's 2000 Years of Human Error album -- the only album released on Manson's vanity label Posthuman.

CIRITH UNGOL DISCOGRAPHY++++++MAIN10+++++

++++++MAIN10+++++

Cirith Ungol are a Clifornian based Metal band that played a slow and epic doomish metal since the 70's. Cirith Ungol as well as Manilla Road are both pioneers of the whole 'epic doom movement' (if that's ok to call it this way...) and I believe that a lot of Doom Metal bands as well as other Metal bands were influenced from their material. The band split-up in 1992

Hailing from Espoo in Finland, Kiuas play a hybrid of Power Metal and other metal genres, you can find Speed Metal riffs and blast beats that are more commonly used in Extreme Metal, yet the music they create is great. All of Kiuas' band members are Finnish Pagans a fact that explains a lot of their mythological and pagan Themes.
